Cherry Blossom Festival

It seems like we've been doing a lot of traveling recently. No very characteristic of us simply because it's usually pretty difficult for my husband to get out of work. Nevertheless, I am so glad that we've been able to do so.

Last weekend we went to the Cherry Blossom Festival in D.C. I have been dying to go since we moved to VA but some how we always miss it. I monitored the peak bloom times and we drove up there on Sunday. It was gorgeous. The flowers were out and the air smelled so sweet. We've seen all the monuments before but everything looked so different with all the flowers in bloom.

It was super crowded which made it difficult to get around but it was totally worth walking among the masses. We probably won't be in the area to catch it next year so I'm really glad we made it out there. The weather was perfect and the traffic wasn't too bad so overall I think it was a successful trip!

I wore an Old Navy maxi dress with a denim vest. It was comfortable but I didn't think about how crowded would it would be which also means tons of people kicking up dirt! So my feet and the bottom of my dress were unrecognizable by the time I got home. Oh well! I felt like I fit right in with the blooms!
